Robert's Winter Ride Challenge Series

The 2009 edition of the WRCS starts Monday, November 24th 2008. Riders earn points based on each rides temperature (colder = more points). The points formula is (70 minus the lowest posted wind chill temp for the ride area for that ride period). 20 bonus points are awarded to single-speed riders. All weeknight rides will receive an additional 25 "nite-ride" points. After a rider has earned points on one of the season's rides, he or she may earn 15 social points simply by showing up to say hi.

Hey Todd...

Your story has been corroborated and you qualify for full credit under the rule listed below, but you still have not officially stated that you wish to get the points. That's part of my rule. So just ask and you will receive.


The missed start rule...
If a rider shows up just a little late (5 to 10 min) and misses the start of the ride the rider can earn full points by making an honest effort to find the group and at least complete 5 miles worth of bicycle riding... Said rider must be communicate his or her wish to earn points in this manner. These "missed start rides" points must be approved by the points governing board.
