Robert's Winter Rides

The 2010 edition of RWR starts Monday, November 30th 2009. Riders earn points based on each rides historical temperature (colder = more points). The points formula is (70 minus the average low temp for that day). Double bonus points are awarded to single-speed riders. All weeknight rides will receive an additional 25 "nite-ride" points. After a rider has earned points on one of the season's rides, he or she may earn 15 social points simply by showing up to say hi.

Hey Robert, attendance at the West-side location today was low, just me. As a result mileage was low as well, 25 total miles with a few Cranbrook hills and snowy unplowed Troy streets thrown in for added measure.

I think I came across your blog a while back--love the craziness of your series--is this an informal series, or would you consider it "organized" (e.g. sponsored and such?). What do the winners get? Fame and glory or bootloads of cash? Both? Just curious.
