Don't forget Jim Ignash. For some reason, he kept going straight when we turned in for the photo.
I did not forget. A rider is required to complete a minimum of 5 miles to qualify for the points. We took the photo at mile 2. If a rider has a mechanical issue or is physically unable to complete the 5 mile minimum, it can be waved. I can’t award social points either as a rider must have participated in another seasons ride to get social points. :-(
I have decided to create a new scoring rule to allow the 15 social points to be awarded. Normally a rider must have participated in one of the seasons previous rides to be awarded social points. The new exception to this rule is if a rider socializes and then starts the ride but does not meet the 5 mile minimum.
