Robert's Winter Rides

The 2010 edition of RWR starts Monday, November 30th 2009. Riders earn points based on each rides historical temperature (colder = more points). The points formula is (70 minus the average low temp for that day). Double bonus points are awarded to single-speed riders. All weeknight rides will receive an additional 25 "nite-ride" points. After a rider has earned points on one of the season's rides, he or she may earn 15 social points simply by showing up to say hi.

With cold temps the group was large with everyone hoping for some great wind chill points but light winds had the official wind chill for the ride at a measly 30 degrees. With 42 rides left the coveted minus 20 degrees will be here soon enough.
